The Promise Day will be scheduled by the patrol commander, who has determined that the candidate has met the criteria to become a patrol officer. On the specific date , there must be a minimum of five radio amateurs in the patrol to witness the candidate's commitment.

When the minimum conditions are met, the round commander informs the group about the promise, and, fulfilling the ritual, passes the word to the candidate, who must transmit the phrase:

Requirements for a Radio Amateur to become a Patrolman and receive his/her respective number:

Participation is only proven if it appears in the logs sent by the Commanders to the BP Patrol Manager.

2 - Submit your completed QSL Card, confirming your participation in HF, to the Patrol Commander. The QSL card must include, in addition to the QSO data, your name, full address, telephone number, and email address. The Patrol Commander sends all this data for registration and verification to the BP Patrol Manager. ( comandante.bp@gmail.com)

3 - Fulfillment of the Promise during a Round with a date stipulated by the Commander, who will communicate the number to the new Patrolman.

The Radio Amateur will receive his Patrol Officer Diploma by email, after the Commander communicates the fulfillment of the Promise to the Manager.

The Promise

“I promise to do my best, as a member of the BADEN-POWELL PATROL and the Always Alert to Serve Round, to promote Radio Scouting and help the Scout Movement through the radio waves of my Station.”

(Have the promise text printed or written down to read. Besides looking much nicer for recording, it makes the round easier to follow.)

Like a Scout promise, the Baden-Powell Patrol promise is a commitment of honor and should always be part of the Patrol member's life. The Baden-Powell Patrol's goals depend on everyone's commitment !

Youth of the Patrolmen

In this space, photos of the Patrolmen are published, who, despite still being young, were once much younger...
You, whether young or much younger, can also send your photo to comandante.bp@gmail.com

Scouting offers young people opportunities for development in various areas of human knowledge. The responsibility of providing appropriate guidance at the right time is one of the noblest missions of Scout leaders.
Amateur Radio, through the Jamboree on the Air, has inspired and brought thousands of young people to worldwide Amateur Radio, who are a big part of this hobby of service and fun.

Hall of Honor - SK

"We remember with affection and gratitude the legacy left by each of you. Your voices echo beyond the radio waves, connecting people and spreading friendship and knowledge.
May the energy and passion they dedicated to this noble art continue to inspire new radio amateurs. They will be tenderly present in our hearts and memories.
